In 2006, I founded the 2nd online estate agent, hatched.co.uk, to enter the UK property market and pioneered the online estate agency model that we now see today.
In 2015, I led the company to being the first ever online estate agent in the UK, to be acquired by a ‘bricks and mortar’ estate agency group – Connells Group – the most successful property services business in the UK. The deal was described by the media at the time, as ‘industry defining’.
I oversaw the organic growth of the business, including all aspects of strategy, marketing, recruitment, tech, training, operations and sales.
We grew the company to having sales & lettings agents all around the UK, along with 40+ office-based staff including digital marketing execs, web developers, admin staff & negotiators. We grew by an average of 40% per year on all KPIs between 2010 and 2014, dealing with over 8,000 customers between 2006 & 2014.
In July 2017, I took the reigns as COO at easyProperty (part of the easy group, which of course, includes easyJet) to help transform the business from a B2C business, which it had been since 2014, to a B2B2C offering, signing up over 150 licensees, covering more than 400 territories between them, across England & Wales.
